“Into the Light” by: Christin KeelerPosted by: admin in Christin Keeler, Video, ExperimentalInto the Light is an experimental, evocative illustration of the experience of a woman going through what is now called “perimenopause.” It explores the interior state often experienced by women in the middle of the night when recurrent insomnia is the order of the day. Bleakness, circular thinking and high anxiety are common experiences. The transition is manifested not only by physiological change, but by tremendous psychological relief. An emergence of a new sense of our own mortality and spirituality occurs with a consequent “lightness” of experience and expression. Produced during MediaNet’s Dance for the Camera program in 2005. Directed by Christin Keeler.
